The Supervisor Programme
"The Supervisor Programme", was developed in recognition of the big step-up in responsibility this level of the workforce was taking on, as they are often promoted from our talented pool of Operatives.
In the first eight months of this bespoke programme being launched, 120 Supervisors received this vital training, which has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Our Supervisors feel much more in control and able to handle a range of scenarios and have built a greater understanding of contractual and financial requirements in delivering to our clients' expectations.
Innovative safety training
Innovative safety training, sees our winter drivers taking the gritter trucks out onto a skid-pan!
By simulating challenging driving conditions faced by our drivers out on a gritting run, the course provides a practical but controlled way of dealing with skidding and avoiding crashes. Gritters can weigh up to 25 tonnes when loaded with salt, so this training – whilst it is fun – is seriously important to ensure the safety of our drivers and road users.
